Adele's sophomore album Record Sale of 95,000 copies last week

Adele continues to hold the No. 1 spot atop the Billboard 200 album chart, making "21" the first album since 1993 to reign on the charts for 17 weeks.

The singer's sophomore album sold 95,000 copies last week, according to Reuters.

The singer tied Billy Ray Cyrus' "Some Gave All," which had 17 weeks at No. 1 in 1992. Now the album has set its sights on "The Bodyguard" soundtrack, which features Whitney Houston's track "I Will Always Love You," and M.C. Hammer "Please Hammer Don't Hurt 'Em," which earned 20 and 21 weeks respectively, having the most weeks at No. 1 since 1990.

In addition, "21" joins only nine other albums in Billboard history to top the 200 album chart while two singles from the album take the top spot on the Hot 100 songs chart.
