AR Rahman became an known face in Hollywood after working in serveral Hollywood movies such as Couples Retreat, Slumdog Millionaire(Won 2 Academy Awards in the category - Best Original Score and Best Original Song) and also Danny Boyle's 127 Hours. Now the latest news is that Rahman has a new Hollywood movie coming up for which he has scored the music titled "People Like Us". This movie is touted to be a drama and Hollywood Top Director Steven Spielberg is one of the producers for this movie.

The star cast in this movie include Chris Pine, Olivia Wilde and Michelle Pfeiffer

.This movie is directed by Alex Kurtzman. AR Rahman recently posted in a micro blogging site saying that, "For those eager to get a glimpse of my next Hollywood movie, People Like Us."

This movie is scheduled for an June 29 2012 release.

Karthi is going to give treat to his fans on his birthday [May, 25] by releasing a single track from his Saguni album, followed by this audio will be launched on May 31st.Praneetha is playing Karthi's love interest in this political satire Saguni that casts Santhanam as Karthi's buddy friend. Newbie Shankar Dayal has wielded the megaphone for Saguni, besides penning the script.

Young and talented music director GV Prakash Kumar has composed the music tunes of Saguni and the makers are all set to unveil a single track on May 25th, on the occasion of Karthi's birthday.

Saguni album scored by G.V. Prakash has five tracks in it. Lyricist Na. Muthukumar has penned two of them while others were scripted by Paramu, Vivega and Annamalai one each.Antony Xavier is producing Saguni under Dream Warrior Pictures banner that consists of cinematographer P.G. Muthiah and editor A. Sreekar Prasad among the technical crew.Saguni is gearing up for the audio launch on 31st of May and the movie release date will be announced soon.

According to Deadline, the Twilight Saga hunk will anchor Mission: Blacklist, a drama based on a book by military interrogator Eric Maddox. It outlines the true story of the search for Saddam Hussein. Rather heavy stuff for the star.

We have some bad news for all the Ranbir Kapoor fans. Well, just recently, buzz was that Ranbir Kapoor will be seen as a vampire in a film titled, 'Bloody Veer'. However, the makers of the film have rubbished all rumors by releasing the films first look.Now, 'Bloody Veer' will not star Ranbir.

The producer of the movie, Siddharth Jain, tells that he is in search of a fresh face for the film.

Jain is quoted saying, "I am looking at casting new faces for the film. As it is, a lot of newcomers do come to us since we promote new talent so we will hold auditions too and then take a call on the cast."

The movie that will hit the theaters this Halloween is directed by Heeraz Marfatia.

Actress Kristen Stewart says she is desperate to work in another movie with her boyfriend Robert Pattinson.

"I am dying to make another movie with Rob. I think we're a good team, and whatever it is needs to be so ridiculously ambitious but I would love to work with him again," contactmusic.com quoted Stewart as saying.

The 22-year-old recently revealed Pattinson was a big fan of her work in "Snow White and the Huntsman".

Cuban-American rapper Pitbull was named as one of three pop songwriters of the year at the BMI Pop Music Awards, handed out each year by US performing rights organization Broadcast Music Inc.

On March 30, Pitbull was awarded the coveted BMI President's Award for his influence in the world of entertainment.

In that same awards ceremony, he was named co-winner of the BMI Latin Songwriter of the Year prize along with Puerto Rican reggaeton duo Wisin & Yandel.

News had it that director Rohit Shetty is keen on casting Shahrukh Khan in a romantic film. Well, the news is now confirmed. SRK will be the lead in Rohit Shetty's romantic drama titled Chennai Express.

Presently, SRK is shooting for Yash Chopra's romantic movie with Katrina Kaif. Now, the king Khan has given a thumb up to Rohit's movie, Chennai Express. It is heard that the movie will star Deepika Padukone opposite Shahrukh.

Chennai Express tells a story of a man who travels to Rameshwaram from Mumbai. The tale is about his journey between the two places.

Vidya Balan's Kahaani is going great guns. Directed by Sujoy Ghosh, the movie will soon be remade in Tamil and Telugu, and most probably in English too.

"There are talks. If it happens, great. If it doesn't, it didn't happen. It's at a very nascent stage." Ghosh told, at the DVD release of "Kahaani".

Endemol India, a TV production company, which is now into movie making, has purchased the remake rights for Telugu and Tamil version of "Kahaani".

The remakes is said to roll on floors in September. Both the Tamil and Telugu versions will release in January 2013.

"I'm delighted to know that the film and the 'Kahaani' franchise are being handled by a reputed name in the entertainment industry like Endemol India," Ghosh told in a statement.

"This association will help us reach out to audiences in the south. Here's looking forward to great success," he added.
